On every comic book forum I've been to, nearly everyone hates Jane Foster as Thor and says the change is a failure and is killing Marvel. When I look at the sales data, it tells a very different story. Jane Foster as Thor is the best selling Thor since 08'. Why are comic fans online so detached from reality?

Also, your perception of online fans’ reaction to any comic depends on the places you hang out on. In my own Tumblr bubble I’m surrounded by people who love the new Thor. It’s always a shock to me when I venture to some forums and find people who think she ruined the series.
